On the occasion of Vishwakarma Day, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar launched Varshik Vastra Sahayata Yojana for the labour workers. This scheme is launched under the Labour Resources Department, Bihar, in which 5,000 will be given to the beneficiary mazdoor every year. On the special day government released an amount of Rs 803 Crore 46 Lakh, 46 Thousand to 16 lakh workers through the DBT mode.
After the official launch of Varshik Vastra Sahayata Yojana, CM of Bihar Nitish Kumar distributed the Financial Support amount of 5K directly to the accounts of registered workers of Bihar. Eligibility Criteria
The government only send the benefit amount of Varshik Vastra Sahayata Yojana to two registered workers. They set eligibility criteria, which are mentioned below:
- Only a permanent resident of Bihar is eligible.
- Applicant worker age should be between 18 to 60 years.
- Workers should be registered with the Bihar Labour Resources Department.
- Unorganised sector workers like construction labourers, plumbers, electricians and masons are eligible for the scheme.

If you are an eligible worker and didn’t get the benefit of Varshik Vastra Sahayata Yojana, then you have to register on the Labour Resources Department, government of Bihar, web portal.

- On the official website, you have to register with your basic details.
- Also, upload your Aadhaar card, mobile number, work-related documents and bank details to get beneficiary support amount.
- Also, you have to pay a Rs 20 registration fee.
- After online registration, you have to visit the local labour office and verify your documents. This whole process will take 7 to 15 days.
